Meet the Carlisle Veterinary Clinic Team
Our veterinarian, Dr. Kylie Sloan, is a Carlisle, Iowa, native. She graduated from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and was the lead vet at a large hospital near Chicago until 2010.
Dr. Sloan returned to her hometown in 2011 and has continued to practice at Carlisle Veterinary Clinic. She became the owner in 2014.
Dr. Sloan has years of expertise in ultrasound, surgery, and internal and reproductive medicine. She's involved with all aspects of the clinic and brings a personal touch to each patient, from regular appointments to after-hours calls. She truly loves being a vet and can't imagine doing anything else!
She and her husband, Mike, have twin daughters and a dog named Roo! When she's not working, Dr. Sloan enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor adventures, and reading.
Veterinary Appointment Policies & Procedures
Appointment Policy
We schedule visits by appointment only in order to be sure we’re able to give your pet the time and attention they need. We do our best to stay on schedule, but emergency visits can sometimes result in an extra wait.
We also give pet owners the option to drop off their pet for a few hours at their convenience. Typically, we ask that owners leave their pet with us in the morning to give us enough time to treat them.
We require all pets who visit our facility to be up to date on their distemper and rabies shots.
Payment is due at the time of the visit.
Pet Carrier and Leash Policy
To be sure all pets and visitors are comfortable and kept safe when they arrive at our facility, we request that you keep your pet on a leash or in their carrier while they’re at the clinic.
